Airways Aviation orders 16 Elixir Aircraft as Paris Air Show draws to close

Airways Aviation, a global aviation training provider, has placed an order for 16 fourth-generation aircraft from Elixir Aircraft as the Paris Air Show 2025 draws to a close.

French training aircraft manufacturer Elixir Aircraft has officially revealed that a letter of intent for the upcoming purchase of the aircraft was signed on June 19, 2025 – the final day of the trade show before the Paris Air Show 2025 opens to the public, allowing access to those outside the aviation industry.

This is the first order that Airways Aviation has made at the Paris Air Show. Just a few days prior to the event, on June 13, 2025, the École Nationale de l’Aviation Civile (ENAC) announced an order for 30 new aircraft from the French manufacturer.

“The addition of the 4th generation trainer will enable the school to deliver high-quality training while significantly optimizing operational costs,” said Arthur Léopold-Léger, CEO and co-founder of Elixir Aircraft. “We see this as the beginning of a strong and lasting partnership between our two organizations.”

In a statement released after the signing, Airways Aviation said that its training team has chosen Elixir Aircraft “to enhance safety and bring more versatility to the fleet”. The company praised the aircraft’s efficiency due to its low operating costs, lightweight structure and lower fuel consumption.

“This new agreement not only reaffirms our confidence in Elixir Aircraft’s next-generation aircraft but also reinforces our ongoing commitment to equipping our students with the best training tools available anywhere in the world,” said Romy Hawatt, CEO of Airways Aviation.

The aircraft will be deployed across Airways Aviation’s international training network. So far. No exact delivery dates have been publicly announced.
